Let us start 2005 remembering and acknowledging our baptism and that, even though we may not like a particular person or we may not agree with everything that the church does, in baptism we are all new creations and are made sisters and brothers in God's family. Remember the covenant that some of you signed late last year. (It's here in the newsletter for you to read.) Remember your call to be faithful church goers and stewards of the gifts that God has given you, which is well, honestly, everything!
Come and join us at worship and in fellowship and in study. If you make any resolutions this New Year, make the one that really counts. The one that says, "I will remember my baptism and that through baptism I am a new creation as are all of God's children, and living in my baptism, I will endeavor to attend church faithfully and be a faithful steward of God's gifts to me."
KidsKorner Sunday Church School
We will be using a program available through Cokesbury. It is designed specifically for a children's Christian education program where four or more age groups are taught in one classroom, One Room Sunday School includes materials that children ages 3 through middle school can study and learn together. Students will grow together through comprehensive Bible study, application of Bible lessons to everyday discipleship, and a variety of age-appropriate activities. In Unit One, entitled Alleluia!, the theme will be God sent Jesus into the world to help the people know more about God's saving and reconciling love. At Easter we remember and celebrate God's love made known in Jesus. Unit 2 will tell Paul's story. Following the example of the first 12 disciples, Paul became a follower of Jesus and taught about him. From Paul's letters we can learn more about following Jesus' example. We need YOU! If you would like to help with KidsKorner, please contact pastor or leave your name and number with the secretary. '
