there will be at least two vacancies to fill. The Council accepted with regret Dixie Kalk's resignation--there are two years left on her term. If any one of you would like to give your time and talent to Atonement, this would be a perfect opportunity. Call Lloyd at 389-8647 or myself at 389-1028. The election will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2005, at the Annual Meeting.

A letter of resignation has been received from Deena Laird as Outreach Ministry Coordinator as of December 15, 2004. She will continue to volunteer as her schedule allows and writes "thank you for believing in me and supporting my call to ordained ministry. I will continue to pray for Atonement's ministries and health of our congregation."  The Council accepted Deena's resignation with regret. One door closes and another opens--volunteers will be needed for Hands of Faith, Kids Klub (formerly Kaleidoscope) and KidsKorner/Sunday School. In order for these programs to succeed, we need your time.

The Handicapped Accessibility Committee has completed their work and is now disbanded. Thank you to all of them and to Bob Kristianson, who served as Chairman, and Rollyn Affeldt, the liaison between Huffman Builders and the Council. A dedication is being planned for January 9--Les Nystrom is having a plaque made honoring Velma Grossman whose generous gift made this possible. One more piece of information about the lift--the doors open automatically! STAND BACK or the door will hit you. Better yet, stand around the corner by the switch and do not peek to see where the lift is--the door will open when the lift is in place.

This should bring you up to date on Atonement happenings.  Until next time,

God's Blessings  --  Carole
