nominating committee. Candidates are needed for one 3 year term and one 2 year term. Budget Letter: A letter will be mailed to the congregation stating our problems for the budget of 2005. Annual Congregational Meeting: January 30, 2005 will be the date of this meeting. Plaque: Les Nystrom made a suggestion that we install a walnut plaque in the elevator addition in honor of Velma Grossman. He has offered to pay for this project. The plaque would read something like this: "This elevator is dedicated to the memory of Velma Grossman whose bequest made it possible. December, 2004." Dixie Kalk made a motion to accept this project and was seconded by Mary Wendtland. MOTION PASSED. Jan. 9, 2005 is the date tentatively scheduled for the dedication of the elevator. NEW BUSINESS Utility Bill: The total cost of gas and electric for Oct. 2003 through Sept. 2004 was $6,307. An anonymous donor has given a $2,000 donation towards the cost of the current heating bill. Deena Laird Letter: Deena has resigned her position as Outreach Co-ordinator. December 15th was her last day. She will continue to try and help as much as her schedule permits. Bob Kristianson made a motion to accept her resignation and was seconded by Nate Anderson. MOTION PASSED. Caritas: I asked the council if we could host one of the monthly Caritas meetings at Atonement. The council thought this would be a good idea. Synod Assembly: Need to select 2 representatives to attend the Synod Assembly. Lead 2005: This seminar would be helpful to council members, especially new ones. Cost is $15.00 which includes lunch. The date is February 26.
PASTOR'S REPORT: The brochures were delivered and look very nice. There was discussion on where to place the brochures. Visitors Center, Beloit College, Cham. of Commerce, YMCA, Library and other churches were some of the places suggested. Cost of the brochures to come from Out-Reach. Bob Kristianson made a motion to accept the Pastor's report. Seconded by Dick Mitchell. MOTION PASSED. (Copy attached)
