Family members and friends are caring for more and more people at home,  In the past year, 1 in 4 households nationwide provided care to someone 50 or older.  As the number of family caregivers increases, family members are in need of support and training to provide safe and comfortable care for loved ones.  The American Red Cross is offering a course in
Basic Caregiver Training January 10, 12, 17 & 19, 2005 from 9 AM to Noon at their location at 211 N. Parker Drive in Janesville.  For more information and to register, call the American Red Cross at 608.754.4497.

The Beloit Regional Hospice will be conducting  winter training classes covering end-of-life education for anyone interested in volunteering. The classes run for 8 weeks and start on January 18th from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM, or January 20th from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM.  Call 608.363.7421 to sign up.
