ATONEMENT LUTHRAN CHURCH
Council Meeting
May 9, 2005
The council meeting was brought to order by Carole at 6:40 p.m.
Council members present: Mary Wendtland, Don Reedy, Les Nystrom,
Judy Gundry, Carole Doubleday, Nate Anderson, Candy Hoefer, Pastor
Tina Koenig-Ray
Devotions were led by Carole.
This first order of business: The copy machine representative from
Martin business group. He presented us with a few choices, which we discussed with him. He left, more discussion among council. Don Reedy
Made a motion to purchase a new Konica 7228 copier. Les Nystrom seconded the motion. A vote was taken, motion passed.
GOOD NEWS: We have received some financial help from some
Congregational members.
Nate Anderson made a motion to accept the April meeting minutes, Bruce Johnson seconded the motion. Vote taken , motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS:
The committee working on the operations manual met Mar. 30. They are making progress and will be meeting again soon.
Carole is still working on Mutual ministry committee membership.
Anniversary expenses are all in and being taken care of. The books and ornaments are in.
Spaghetti dinner is organized and publicity is taken care of.
Jessica Hoefer will dance with little girls on Father's day.
Memorial parade was discussed. We have still not received confirmation of our entry.
NEW BUSINESS:
We have received a letter from Wartburg thanking us for preparing Deena for pastors & leaders for evangelical Lutheran churches in America.
One purchase order for staples and folders was approved.
June 19 David Reynolds will preach, father's day ,the girls will dance.
All Nations Drum practice on Sun June 12 in the parking lot. Everyone will need to bring a chair, some food to share.
Bruce Johnson made a motion to grant Ray and Joyce Schoenfield's transfer to Grace Lutheran Church Judy seconded the motion . A vote was taken,motion passed.
Pastor's report was read. Bruce Johnson made a motion to accept the report,
Don Reedy seconded the motion. A vote was taken , motion passed.
Judy made a motion to help with a $250.00 donation for Christian entertainment Riverfest weekend. Don Reedy seconded the motion.
Vote was taken, motion passed.
Church Calendar was reviewed.
Worship and music meeting June 18th.
YAG Beloit College dinners done for the year.
No treasurers report, Maggie is absent .
Next meeting Monday June 13th .
Meeting adjourned.
