Council Meeting December 11,2006

PRESENT: Pastor Tina Koenig Ray, Cheryl Ramczyk, Bruce Johnson, Nate Anderson, David Schneider, Mary Wendtland, Char Affeldt, Norbert Larson, Judy Gundry, Carole Doubleday, Don Reedy, Candy Hoefer

ABSENT: None

CALL TO ORDER: President Bruce Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. There was one addition to the New Business section. Judy Gundry made a motion to accept the agenda with the one addition. Cheryl Ramczyk seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

DEVOTIONS: Led by Char Affeldt. Prayer.

GOOD NEWS: Article about Abe Leach’s trip abroad, posted on the bulletin board. Thanksgiving Eve service wonderful, lots of people. The Christmas tree and decorations look great.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES November 13, 2006 meeting. Nate Anderson made a motion to approve the minutes with one spelling correction. Mary Wendtland seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

OLD BUSINESS: Navajo sponsorship, Pastor is waiting for someone to get back to her. Latino ministry e mail. Taco John’s fundraiser we earned approximately $9.00. Budget meeting Wed Dec 20, 2006. Annual reports must be in to Pattye by December 29. 2006. Annual meeting is January 21, 2007. The new Book of Worship, we will have 150 copies.

FINANCIAL REPORT: November 2006 Char Affeldt made a motion to accept the November 2006 financial report. Judy Gundry seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

NEW BUSINESS: Use of Hurricane Lamps whenever using candles. Childrens choir from India to come here in August. Judy Gundry made a motion to show our support in helping to get them here in August. Char Affeldt seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

PASTOR’S REPORT: Nate Anderson made a motion to accept the Pastor’s written report. Mary Wendtland seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

OFFICE NEEDS: Char Affeldt made a motion to purchase requested office needs. Judy Gundry seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

Carole Doubleday made a motion to accept all committee reports. Char Affeldt seconded the motion. Vote taken. MOTION PASSED.

Next meeting Wednesday Dec 20, 2006 Budget planning.
