The first round of the Church Men's Dartball League championships was played on March 27th, 2001. This round consisted of division champion with the best win / loss record playing the second place (wild-card) team with the best win / loss record and the other two first place teams playing each other. The Messiah Chiefs (57 - 9) of the American League defeated Atonement Rebels (48 - 18) of the Midwest League in 4 games; 7 - 2, 4 - 8, 13 - 6, and 7 - 6. Our Saviors Vikings (43 - 23) of the National League defeated the New Hope Chicks (50 - 16) of the Midwest League in 4 games; 5 - 3, 4 - 5, 6 - 2, and 7 - 1.

The league championship series between the Messiah Chiefs and the Our Saviors Vikings will be played on Monday, April 2nd.at Messiah Lutheran Church and on Tuesday, April 3rd at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in a best 4 of 7 series. The games will be played beginning at 7 PM each night. Visitors are welcome at all the games.
