2004 Youth Nationals Results |
Two youth teams traveled to Albuquerque, NM, for the 2004 Youth National Championships. Megan Uhing gave a strong showing with her gorgeous SH Radical Chic in Hunter Pleasure and Show Hack. Although she wasn’t a prize winner in deep classes of up to 90 entries, she raised the level of her riding another notch, and we’re very proud of her. Breanna Ohlemiller scored a Semi-Finalist win with her inexperienced, but very classy Half Arabian Western Junior Horse, Supreme Jabask. They pinned 3rd, 4th, and 5th on the cards in their cut! Supreme Jabask also attracted considerable interest from some of the nation’s top western trainers, which was exciting all in itself! Joyce Lee, Breanna’s mom, put a championship ribbon on our curtains with her win in the Adult Hippology. Great job, Joyce! And Breanna posted Top Tens in Hippology and in the Judging Contest. Way to go, Bre! |

2004 State 4H Show Results |
| Big congratulations for Natalie Hendrickson and her quarter horse gelding Pixy’s Winning Straw, who were Reserve Champion English Pleasure-Member Grade 11 at the 2004 Wisconsin State 4H Show, besting a field of 44 entries. This team trains with JCTS despite the fact that they show a “different breed on a different circuit,” and we’re very proud of them. Natalie buckled down hard this year, and her work really paid off! |

Update on Fire Up! |
| Half-Arabian, Half Hackney Pony Fire Up, was trained and shown through JCTS for 5 seasons under the ownership of Tom and Jeannie Caine. "Hoot" was an all-time favorite here for his talent, extreme beauty, and electric show ring attitude! He's now beginning to show with his new 10 & Under owner Lian Oteiza of Miami, FL. |
| The two of them are CLEANING HOUSE in Florida's hotly contested Walk Trot Pleasure and Equitation divisions! They have won their first seven classes, some of which have included as many as 12 entries, and they have been named champion three times. All of us at JCTS still miss Hoot. He was one of a kind! But we're delighted that he is doing so well for his new young rider. It just goes to show that a hot, electrifying Park horse can still be a sensible child's mount in the right circumstances. |
