WR Bravissimo++ Earns Legion of Merit

Big kudos to WR Bravissimo++ and Kristen Johnson on earning those coveted two plusses!

Very few horses ever achieve this honor, and Bravissimo++ is only seven years old!

It makes one wonder what else is in store for him!

Congratulations to breeders Don and Lisa Camacho, trainers Jessica Cole and Dave Bilgrien, Owner Kristen Johnson, and sponsors Gary Johnson and Dane Scag.  Special thanks to veterinarian Dr. Dean Meyer, farrier Dean Johanningmeier, and chiropractor Dawn Vandecastle.

It takes a great team to make great things happen!

2009 GLAHA Show

The Great Lakes Arabian Horse Association Show is an annual favorite for JCTS clients!  It’s a long, but scenic drive to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but the wonderful atmosphere and history of years of fun at the show in Norway, Michigan, make the miles worth it!

This year marked our best results ever!  Congratulations to:

2009 WDHA / WAHA Recap

The two, two day, back-to-back shows in Milwaukee each Memorial Day weekend are always competitive.  This year was no exception.  To make things even more challenging, Jessica caught a case of the flu this year and completely lost her voice!  Thanks to the great crew & customers who stepped up to the plate to keep things rolling smoothly, especially Kristen Johnson, Ashley Viney, and Megan Christen, Kristen was "head groom" for the weekend with Ashley and Megan assisting along with helpful hands from many of the clients.

The results were even more impressive:

2009 Update on Afirey Grace

Please enjoy a few June 2009 snapshots of Afirey Grace (Afire Bey V X Grace Notes) fresh out of the pasture.  She is growing up to be quite promising!

One of the most exciting pieces of Spring news at JCTS is that Grace Notes is back in foal to All Time Leading Sire of Champions Afire Bey V for 2010.  This foal will be a full sibling to Afirey Grace.  Offers on the 2010 foal may be considered.

JCTS's Farrier Featured in the Wisconsin State Journal

We were delighted to see our farrier, Dean Johanningmeier, featured in a front page article in the Wisconsin State Journal.  He is fantastic and well deserving of the admiration of George Hesselberg, who wrote the article, learned a lot, and admired Dean tremendously.  Click the link to read the article online in the Journals archives.

2009 Sahara Sands

The early May show in St. Paul, MN always seems to be chilly and raw, and this year was no exception!  We generally take a fairly small string to this show but always have an enjoyable time, weather notwithstanding!

Huge congratulations this year for STA A Horse Afire, Lois Marx's electric young four year old purebred Junior English horse by Afire Bey V.  A Horse Afire made his show ring debut at Sahara Sands, turning in a very exciting performance and winning his class.

(Pictured in 2008 with Jessica Cole up)

Kudos also to Idlis Last Shadow and Ashley Viney, who were Hunter Pleasure AOTR champions in some of the toughest hunter competition you can find anywhere outside the U. S. Nationals.

2009 MAHA Spring Fling

Our 2009 season started with a several firsts and seconds at the Winona Spring Fling, along with numerous other good placings!  We are excited to have our best group of horses ever and blessed to have a wonderful bunch of fun and supportive clients!  Next stop will be the Sahara Sands show in St. Paul, MN.

The Scorpion King and Sadie Dumbleton put
in a good performance to qualify for
Region 10 in their first outing together.

Coming across the ring, Grace Notes and
Jessica Cole.  Grace Notes was unshown
prior to this show, but as you can see,
she quickly decided she LIKES the show ring!

Ears up and tail up--that's Grace Notes!

Grace Notes made her debut at Winona.
At age six, she is just coming out after
raising an exceptional Afire Bey V Filly last year.

practice ring at Winona.  Lois WON her very
first Country AOTR Class on Jazz,
who is still a Junior Horse.

Another shot of Jazz and Lois.  Lois bred and
raised this elegant daughter of DS Major Afire.

Outrageous Raves and Jamie Buedler
placed well in some large and
competitive AOTR classes.

Ashley Viney's big white hunter,
Idlis' Last Shadow, continued his
winning ways in Winona.

This shot is from the 2008 show season, but represents Shadow's quality and athleticism
well.  He turned in several good performances
in Winona and was well-rewarded.
